1.4 Million Unfilled IT & Software Jobs

The Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts there will be 1.4 million more IT and Software jobs in 2020 than applicants. Why do these jobs go unfilled?

One reason is how these jobs are being offered. Companies often try to fill these positions through IT Staffing vendors who offer too little to qualified prospects. Additionally, the reputation of the entire staffing industry and many of the vendors precedes their recruitment effort.

Good qualified IT candidates often refuse to work with such vendors. This does have a domino effect on upward mobility, wage stagnation, and underemployment we see in the IT sector and the pervasive fraud in IT Staffing. From the IT staffing perspective, change is long overdue.
